Reclaimed Dutch land becomes supercomputer

The Dutch town of Almere, which was still underwater 40 years ago, will be hosting the world’s first virtual city supercomputer or computer grid. Some 2200 citizens have been the target of Project AlmereGrid. And just so you know, AlmereGrid relies primarily on home PCs, connected to high speed fibre optic links.
