Spammers - monetary punishment or jail term
Happy New Year to you too! Wish you can satisfy your…
If the spammers can still wish New Year without “belated” I sure as hell can. Anyway, there have been a lot of convictions recently against spammers and I just want to share that this is good news. We do want the spammers to suffer and wither in pain and agony so that they themselves need some of those too alluring pills.
BUT, what do you prefer — jail term for the spammer or monetary punishment. Which one would hurt them harder? Which would make them reconsider their way of life? Which would result in them realizing their wrongdoings? Let’s analyze both the situations.
Jail term
I say if you send a person to jail, send him for a long time. NO, I don’t consider two years long enough. What I suggest is five-seven years. That way, they’d have enough time to realize that all the money they made, they couldn’t use while they could have enjoyed it the most. Also, if a person comes out of the jail after such a long time, you won’t see him spending on cars and other luxurious items. You’d instead see him grabbing food.
The above is true only if the prisons are anything like they show in the hollywood movies. While travelling in government run buses in , I often see this warning “Passengers caught without a ticket will have to pay Rs. 500($12) or spend two nights in jail or both”. Cool! So if I ever run the risk of my wife not cooking because she’s angry (she catches me reading the plight of the Wife of Secretary of the late Prince of some town in Africa), all I gotta do to get a meal and a place to spend the night is travel without ticket in the bus.
If spammers think anything like this then sending them to jail is perhaps not such a bright idea.
Monetary punishment
Asking the convicted spammer to shell out dollahs sounds good. But not the paltry millions of dollars. Let’s make them pay billions.
That way, they are even more motivated to work hard at spamming to make up for all the money lost. Hmm…. I wonder where spammers stash aways their millions and billions of Dollahs. Michael Jackson doesn’t know how to. And if the rumors are to be believed, neither does Britney Spears.
Anyway, I think I just proved why monetary punishment is not enough.
SOLUTION
Since you have already banged your head on the wall looking for the answer (and a place to stash your money), I would solve your problem.
I personally would levy a hefty monetary fine on the spammers and then put them to jail for upto seven years. Why don’t I give them a life term? Because I feel they need to see the world as it would be without them.
As for your money, you can stash it safely with me. It’d be safe for a long time. After that, I would spend every last penny of it. Hu hu hahahaha huu hahha (don’t read this, you can’t imitate me. you need pills for that).
P.S. If you can’t figure out why your money would be safe for a long time, here’s the secret: I am not married. And I won’t be eligible to marry for another 2 years. She’s a fictitious character just like the Wife of the Secretary of the King of a small town in Africa.
P.S.2. I am really challenging those spammers ain’t I?
